MMDA employee dumping garbage into storm drain.

On July 18, 2010 at around 8:30 am, we were stopped on the eastbound lane of ayala avenue waiting the traffic light to turn green and cross edsa towards Mckinley.

We noticed an MMDA-uniformed street cleaner kicked large cardboard boxes toward gutter and into the storm drain at the corner of ayala and edsa near intercon. The cardboard boxes were quite big and it took her much effort just to shove the boxes down the hole.

After that, she dumped all the garbage she had collected into the same hole.

We were surprised at her action because we know how much effort you have exerted to clean the drains, canals and esteros in metro manila to prevent/control flooding in the metropolis.

Sad to see this lady who was proudly wearing her MMDA uniform doing the reverse.

I'm sure she is just an exception from the many hardworking employees of MMDA.

With this info, please do the necessary to prevent this from recurring.

Thank you and more power.
